TOEICのリーディングセクションの制限時間は、７５分です。７５分以内に、１００問の問題を解かねばなりません。問題が多く、Part 7 では、長い文章を読まなければならないため、時間配分が重要になってきます。

自動的に進行してしまうリスニングと違い、リーディングは自分で時間を管理しなければなりません。Part 5 と Part 6 を20分で解き、Part 7は50分で解きます。残りの5分は、予備の時間として使用します。余った場合には、見直しに使用できます。次のセクションで１問あたりの時間配分の詳細を書きます。

あまり英語が得意ではないTOEIC初心者の場合、Part 7をすべて読み終わるということは、あまりないと思われます。

難しいと思った場合には、飛ばす勇気も必要です。解らない文章をがんばって理解しようとするよりも、すんなり読める文章を読んだ方が、読み込む時間を減らし、問題を正確に解くことができます。

Part 7 は、最終的には、文章に対して 3つの設問があるなら、3分で解かなければなりません。いきなり、3分、というのは、厳しい場合もあるので、たとえば 5分で解くと決めて、タイマーやアラームを利用して、時間内に解く訓練をしましょう。

Part 7 の問題を音読しましょう。音読して、スラスラ読める、ということは、単語や文章の構造が理解できている、ということです。ちゃんと読めない、ということであれば、理解できていない部分があるということになります。
